Vacuum boosters operate on the Roots (Twin Lobe) principle:
Two lobed rotors rotate in opposite directions
Air/gas is trapped between lobes and casing
It is transferred from inlet to outlet without internal compression
Operates without contact between rotors → low wear & oil-free operation
